Queens Park Rangers are looking to tie down striker Sinclair Armstrong to a new contract.
According to Darren Witcoop, Rangers’ are wanting to reward the Republic of Ireland international with a ‘long-term deal’.
The 20-year-old’s contract is currently due to expire at the end of the season, however the club do have the option to extend it until 2025.
Should QPR give Sinclair Armstrong a new contract?

Armstrong is a powerful striker who signed for Rangers’ from his native Ireland in 2020, joining from Shamrock Rovers after a successful trial.
He initially joined the development squad, with his impressive performances earning him a call up to the first team last season.
He went on to make 22 appearances last year, with most coming from off the bench.
This season, however, Armstrong has been Rangers’ main man up front, as he has now started each of their last four Championship games under Gareth Ainsworth.
He also scored his first goal for the club, scoring in a 2-1 win away at Cardiff City, whilst he also got the assist for the second goal for Kenneth Paal.
His fine form also saw him be rewarded with his first senior cap for the Republic of Ireland, as he came on as a late substitute in Ireland’s 2-1 loss at home to the Netherlands on Sunday evening.
Rangers had reportedly been looking for a striker late on in the transfer window before it shut with the likes of Uche Ikpeazu being linked with working with Ainsworth once again.
But clearly the R’s see Armstrong as their main main to lead the line for the season, and would like to tie him down to a new long term contract. This would also give Armstrong a lot more potential resale value in the future, too.
